Wesleyan University 16mm thesis film audition: CALIBER

Reid Hildebrand (dir.) is casting Caliber, a 16mm dramatic short about a boy who takes growing up into his own hands. Shoot is Nov 8-9 and 15-16 in the Middletown, CT area. This is a Wesleyan University undergraduate thesis film.

Seeking: The Boy, 13-15, African-American or mixed race, small or lanky, not physically imposing, LEAD; The Girl, 13-15, Caucasian, more outdoorsy, kind, the supporting figure the boy needs, LEAD; The Father, 40s, African-American or mixed race, a stern but ultimately loving figure, beliefs on the father-son relationship rooted in tradition, supporting role.

Auditions will be held on Sunday, October 5th from 1-4 pm in the Wesleyan Center for Film Studies (301 Washington Terrace, Middletown CT 06459), room 124. If unable to attend, please email headshots and resumes to before the 5th. Those auditioning for The Boy and The Girl will be given scenes to read; those auditioning for The Father should bring a monologue, preferably addressed to a son.
