Two Planks Theater: The Vagina Monolouges

Join Two Planks Theater Company in Monroe, CT for a two show special fundraising event!  The Vagina Monologues is an episodic play written by Eve Ensler which developed and premiered at HERE Arts Center and was followed by an Off-Broadway run in 1996 at Westside Theatre. The play delves into consensual and nonconsensual sexual experiences, body image, genital mutilation, direct and indirect encounters with reproduction, sex work, and several other topics through the eyes of women with various ages, races, sexualities, and other differences.[1] Charles Isherwood of The New York Times called the play “probably the most important piece of political theater of the last decade.”[2]

Proceeds benefit both the Women’s Center of Greater Danbury, Protect Our Defenders (suppporting legal aid for vets who have experienced military sexual assault) and Two Planks Theater Company.

Purchase tickets in advance at or at the door.
