Town Players of Newtown Holds Auditions for Musical

Town Players of Newtown is holding auditions for its first musical, Is There Life After High School. Written by Jeffrey Kindley and Directed by Brian DeToma. Showdates are September 27 to October 19.

Auditions:  Sunday, June 30 & Monday July 1 from 7:pm to 9:pm

This is a “memory musical.” The cast plays various characters remembering the joy, the laughter, and the pain of what it was like to go through high school. Charming, funny, touching and likable, it’s a musical that wins its way by being so enjoyable. Somehow it touches a common chord; audiences can relate to it, and to the gallery of characters that inhabit it, as they look back on their high school days from ten to twenty years ago.

The cast calls for 5 Men and 4 Women – Ages 20-45

Please come to the audition prepared to sing 32 bars of a contemporary Pop/ Broadway song. It is preferred that you prepare a short 2-3 minute monologue, however sides from the play will also be available.

Auditions to be held at the Little Theater at 18 Orchard Hill Road, Newtown, Connecticut.
