The Suffield Players announce auditions for their winter productions of “A Christmas Pudding” by David Birney, and “Deathtrap” by Ira Levin, on November 4 at 6 pm and on November 5 at 7 pm at Mapleton Hall in Suffield CT.
“A Christmas Pudding” is our Staged Reading Benefit Challenge: performed with a minimum number of rehearsals, improvisational use of costumes, prop elements and sets at our theatre, and with scripts-in-hand on November 30, December 1st at 8 pm, and on December 2 at 2 pm at Mapleton Hall in Suffield. All proceeds go toward maintenance of Mapleton Hall, our historic theatre home. A very special kind of show, perfect for those who are Plentiful of Talent and Festive Spirit, but Also Short On Rehearsal Availability! The play consists of stories, songs and poetry of the season: there are roles available for actors, singers, and musicians of all ages. Directed by Roger A. Ochs and Rob Lunde. Joyous and genuine!
“Deathtrap” is a classic murder mystery play: plot twists and turns, macabre humor, and much dark merriment and mayhem. Roles for 3 men and two women, performing on February 7, 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, and 23 2013 at 8 pm; on February 17 at 2 pm. Directed by Robert Lunde. Mature language and situations.
