The Meeting House Players is proud to present “THE DIXIE SWIM CLUB”, a heartwarming, laugh-out-loud comedy, by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten. Five Southern women, whose friendships began many years ago on their college swim team, set aside a long weekend every August to recharge those relationships. Free from husbands, kids, and jobs, they meet at the same beach cottage on North Carolina’s Outer Banks to catch up, laugh, and meddle in each other’s lives. The play focuses on four of those weekends and spans a period of thirty-three years. “THE DIXIE SWIM CLUB” is a hilarious and touching comedy about friendships that last a lifetime and beyond. Directed by Chester resident Debbie Alldredge, the production showcases an ensemble cast of talented area actors featuring Nancy Cardone, Karen Sutton, Courtney Coleman, Elizabeth Alvord and Vickie Blake.
The production opens at the Meeting House in Chester on Friday, November 8th, continuing November 9th, 15th & 16th, 2019 with both a matinee and an evening performance on November 16th. Tickets prices are $25 for Limited Reserved seating and $15 for Open Seating. Reservations will be available beginning October 9, 2019 at www.TheMeetingHousePlayers.com or by calling 860-526-3684 for both Limited Reserved and Open seating.
