Summer Puppetry Camp for 5th & 6th Graders

For the fourth year in a row, Sean Alan Morris (founder of CTCallboard!) is offering a week-long conference at the Silver Lake Conference Center in picturesque Sharon, Connecticut! For the week of August 5-11, children going into the 5th and 6th grades, from all over the country, gather together to learn how to customize and perform with hand puppets, and ultimately put on a show for the entire camp!

The conference is called “Clarence and the GodZooks Most Amazing Puppet Show,” and it’s becoming increasingly popular, year after year. In addition to learning and performing puppetry, conferees get to do all the standard fun “camp” stuff. There are arts & crafts, swimming, sports, hiking, campfires and brand new, upgraded ropes courses for kids to¬†explore. The camp is run by the United Church of Christ of Connecticut, but is open to all, wherever they are on their faith journey, belief in God is not even required!

The week is open to children going into 5th or 6th grade (anyone who is in the 4th or 5th grade right now). If you know anyone who fits that age-range and might like to participate, head on over to and check out the downloadable brochure.
