SMTI Preprofessional fosters excellence, artistry, and a love of musical theatre for tomorrow’s performers currently aged 14–20.
Our 2021 program will focus on the themes of individual empowerment and self-creation, engaging as a community of learners through art-making, observation, discussion, and reflection. Students will work through class mediums of technique courses and small group labs, exploring scene and song text, comedic improv, on-camera technique, and vocal health, as well as creating variations of taught choreography. Each day, students will present individual content based on the new skills they are learning. Our program will culminate in a video showcase which will serve as the final performance of the workshop.
