Pantochino Announces Auditions for Rocky Horror and more

Award-winning Pantochino Productions, a non union, not for profit theatre company in Milford will hold an open call September 13 and 14 from 6-9pm at their studio space in the Connecticut Post Mall. Producers Bert Bernardi & Jimmy Johansmeyer encourages non-union actors of all ethnicities and gender identities to audition for roles in “The Rocky Horror Show” (October 2022) “School Spirits” (October 2022), “Christmas Carol”(November/December 2022),  and “And Away We Go” (April/May 2023). Seeking adult character actors with excellent comedic and vocal skills for all four productions. Also seeking teen actors for “School Spirits” and “Christmas Carol” and children (10-13yo) for featured roles in “Christmas Carol.” Sorry, we are not looking for younger children. 

For those attending this call need only to attend one call (not both nights) Sign-ups will begin at 5:30 pm and will close each day at 8:30pm. Please bring headshot (or recent photo) and resume (or list of theatre experience), and prepare 2 songs, 16 bars of up-tempo & ballad. Please have sheet music in proper key. Accompanist provided. You may only be asked to sing only one of your two selections depending on time/attendance. Please do not dress in costume. Non Union. Those over 18 receive pay or stipend.

Pantochino Studios are located in the lower level of the Connecticut Post Mall near the former Sears store (It is the opposite end of the mall from Target).

“The Rocky Horror Show” is Richard O’Brien’s cult classic musical about the chance adventure of newlyweds Brad and Janet who find themselves at the mysterious mansion of Dr. Frank N Furter. Adult themes and language. Casting Brad, Janet, Rocky, Eddie/Dr. Scott and three Phantoms (Ensemble) Commitment late September through October

“Christmas Carol” is a new panto-style holiday musical version of the Dickens Classic. Roles available for Adults, Teens and Children 10yo and up. 

“And Away We Go” is a new comedy set in the swinging 1960’s in Miami and follows a pair of wannabe singers (Think Steve & Eydie) who find themselves caught up in mistaken identities, missing persons, mobsters, showgirls, and Italian Nona and more as they try to gain a spot on the Jackie Gleason show. Lots of Adult character roles!!!
