Murder Mystery Dinner Theater Season Underway on CT River

Remarking on the upcoming year, Executive Director of AspenDream Productions™, Janice Luise-Lutkus of Burlington, CT said, “The fun begins immediately boarding the cruise ship and never stops from there. It’s a complete night of entertainment. You’ll dance, dine, and deduce.” Named the longest running dinner theater company in Connecticut, AspenDream Productions™ is now in its eighteenth year. The interactive murder mystery shows have been hailed by audiences throughout New England. This season includes: Murder at a Mob Wedding on April 25th in Middletown; Mob’s Murder Mystery on July 11th in Haddam; A HALLOWEEN WHODUNNIT on October 24th in Haddam; and Holiday Cruising Can Kill You on December 5th in Middletown.

The shows are centered on the character of the notorious “Uncle Franco”, the head of the mob clan. He is the life (and maybe the death of the party) and his ex-wife Stella. There are fifteen characters that dance, sing, entertain, and maybe commit murder. All feature professional actors that are from all over CT. Some of the memorable personalities include Father O’Flasky, Luigi “the Squeegee” Vendetta, Sal Manila, Sophia IllCastratya, and Mario “One Minute” Mancini. The comedy murder mystery dinner-theater are shows in which you, the audience, actually play the roles of Uncle Franco’s family or friends.

Wear your favorite mob garb or the craziest wedding attire you can come up with. Bring your camera to take photos of the celebrities, mobsters, and maybe a corpse.
