Phoenix Theater Company kicks off their 2018 season with John Kander and Fred Ebb’s Tony Award-winning musical CABARET, opening March 16, 2018! Based on Christopher Isherwood’s Berlin Stories, CABARET follows the interlocking stories of a cabaret singer, a writer from America, and the denizens of Berlin who get caught up in the chaos of a changing society. Led by the enigmatic and dazzling Emcee, CABARET is an intoxicating theatrical experience, featuring well-known classics of the musical stage such as “Don’t Tell Mama,” “Maybe This Time,” and of course“Cabaret
Auditions are December 17th and 18th at 7pm at Oddfellows Playhouse in Middletown, 128 Washington St. Women should prepare “Maybe This Time” and/or “What would you do?” and Men should prepare “Willkommen” and/or “I Don’t Care Much”. Music for these pieces will be provided. If you are not comfortable with these songs please come with sheet music for another song. Also come prepared to dance as well as do readings from the script.
