LCT Youth Theater Spring Classes

LCT is pleased to announce that it will be continuing its theatre education program with classes this Spring for grades first through ninth, beginning February 22nd. Each class will offer developmentally appropriate activities to help students explore theatre arts. Instructors and activities will focus on increasing self-confidence and self-expression through theatre games, character development, storytelling, voice, and movement. Classes are held at our production center, located at 9 Center St. Thomaston and will run for approximately 80 minutes. Classes will culminate with a showcase on the main stage for friends and family on May 9th.

Classes Include:
Musical Theatre Jr. ~ Grades 1 to 3
Broadway Voice ~ Grades 4 to 6
Triple Threat ~ Grades 7 to 9

  • Musical Theater Jr ( 9 am – 10:20 am) is a theatrical course, where students will be expected to learn a group song, dance, and scene from a Broadway musical. Classes will include age appropriate activities, promoting self-expression, confidence, and creativity. Appropriate activities may include theatre games for young children, creative dramatics, singing, dancing, acting out stories, etc. Instructor(s): Rhiannon Carta & Emma Denihan
  • Broadway Voice (10:30 am – 11:50 am) The focus of this class will be voice. Students will learn to prepare two songs for their audition portfolio, as well as, memorize a group number, learn warm-ups, breath support, control, pitch, diction, and projection. Classes will include age appropriate activities, promoting self-expression, confidence, and creativity. Instructor(s): Kerri Morris & Kennedy Morris
  • Triple Threat (12:00 pm – 1:20 pm) For our older and more experienced students, we are offering Triple Threat as part of our Youth Theater program. Students will learn dancing, voice, and acting techniques to be applied to future auditions/roles, thus making them a triple threat. Instructor(s): Kerri Morris & Kennedy Morris
