Landmark Community Theatre is pleased to announce that it will be holding auditions for the play, CHARLOTTE’S WEB, on Sunday August 11th from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Monday August 12th from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Arts Center Theater, located on Level 2 of the Thomaston Opera House. The production is a part of LCT’s children’s series and runs for one weekend only, October 19th & 20th with performances at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. both days. The show is under the direction of Gary Kingsbury, Chair, LCT Board of Directors.
Auditioners will be asked to read a part of a children’s story and may bring their own book. Additional audition activities may include a theatre game and reading from the script. Children involved with the LCT Youth Theatre are encouraged to attend. Roles available for young children, teens, and adults.
Plot Summary: Based on E.B. White’s celebrated novel, CHARLOTTE’S WEB, is the story of a young piglet, Wilbur. Desperately trying to avoid the butcher, Wilbur is befriended by a barn spider, Charlotte, who hatches a plan to save him. Joined by a cast of other farm animals, this heartfelt story of friendship embraces the differences in everyone.
