From Broadway to Branford • Saturday, May 6, 2:00 & 7:00 pm

The sanctuary of the United Methodist Church in Branford will be filled with the sounds of the Great White Way as talented performers from the Connecticut theatre scene present an evening of Broadway songs from classic and current musicals. Join us to enjoy music from such shows as Hamilton – Godspell – Mary Poppins – Aladdin – On the Twenty Century – Avenue Q – Sound of Music – Les Misérables – Gypsy – The Little Mermaid – A Little Night Music – Charlie and the Chocolate Factory – The Music Man – Secret Garden – [title of show] – A Chorus Line – Rent – Pippin – Something Rotten – Oklahoma – South Pacific.
From Broadway to Branford is the creation of Guilford performer Michael Cartwright. He is familiar to area audiences from his appearances at Goodspeed Musicals, River Rep, Ivoryton Playhouse, and the Warner Theatre. Cartwright will be joined by some of his favorite local performers for this celebration of Broadway show tunes: Vickie Blake of Clinton, Kelly Boucher of Ellington, Mark Gilchrist of Madison, Jessica Nevins of Ivoryton, Steve & Annabelle Sabol of West Hartford, Carey Van Hollen of Southbury, and pianist Paul Feyer of Manchester. There will also be a special guest appearance by the Branford High School Singers. Collectively, the credits for this group of vocalists form an impressive list of Connecticut venues, including Actors Ensemble, Artful Living, Backstage Players Company, Broad Brook Opera House, Colchester Community Theatre, Downtown Cabaret Theatre, Goodspeed Musicals, Goshen Players, Hole in the Wall Theatre, Ivoryton Playhouse, Meetinghouse Players, Newington Mainstage, Nutmeg Players, Orange Players, Phoenix Theatre, Ridgefield Theatre Barn, River Rep, Saybrook Stage Co., Shoreline Theatrical Arts, Spirit of Broadway, Summer Theatre of New Canaan, Swing Bridge Arts Alliance, Thomaston Opera House, Warner Theatre, West Hartford Community Theatre,
A silent auction, featuring tickets and other theatre memorabilia from area performing arts organizations, as well as gift certificates donated by local merchants, will be held during intermission at each performance.
From Broadway to Branford is a fundraiser for United Methodist Church Branford and Branford Counseling Center. Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for children under 10, and are available at or at the church’s administrative offices.
