AUDITIONS: ‘Songs For A New World’ by Jason Robert Brown

FUSE Theatre of CT is looking for male-identiying adult vocalists for their November production of #SongsForANewWorld. All ethnicities, type and physical abilities are welcome.

The roles for female-identifting vocalists are still open as well. The roles are Man 1 (range D3- C5), Man 2 (range F4-Ab4), Woman 1 (range G3-F5), and Woman 2 (F3-F5). Please include a video of you singing a song of your choice (musical theater or pop, ballad or up-tempo, 16-bar or full song – just pick something that shows off your range and personality). The first show from Tony-winning composer Jason Robert Brown (“The Last Five Years,” “Bridges of Madison County,” “Parade,” currently Broadway’s “Mr. Saturday Night”), “Songs” is a beloved song-cycle that introduce the audience to a wide variety of characters — from a political prisoner to a scorned socialite, a promising basketball star to the worried mother of a missing soldier — each facing scary and exhilarating crossroads in their life. The music has influences ranging from gospel to soul to jazz.
