Center Stage Theatre artistic director Gary Scarpa has announced that auditions for “A Christmas Carol, the Musical” will take place on Saturday, September 22nd between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Scarpa said, “We are seeking talented actors, singers and dancers to fill roles for adults, teens, and children in 4th grade and older.”
The production will be directed by Scott Brill, who has directed throughout Fairfield County. Brill will be assisted by Brett Boles as musical director and Todd Santa Maria as choreographer.
With soaring music by Disney composer Alan Menken, “A Christmas Carol” infuses the Charles Dickens holiday classic with music the whole family will cherish. “At Center Stage, we like to give performers of all ages opportunities to appear in full-scale productions,” said Scarpa.
Candidates are required to sing one minute of a song of their choice and take part in a dance movement audition. Candidates may bring sheet music (as an accompanist will be present) or sing with a recording.
