A Christmas Carol at Sacred Heart University’s Theatre Arts Program

The award-winning and nationally ranked Theatre Arts Program at Sacred Heart University is seeking an actor to play the role of Scrooge in their first annual production of A Christmas Carol. The adaption, debuting at Sacred Heart is written by young and upcoming playwright Grace Curley, known for her recent success at the Mid-America Theatre Conference.

Includes 4 performances, a week and a half of rehearsals/tech, and train transportation if necessary. If Equity, a guest artist contract will be used.

Ebenezer Scrooge
Male, 40-60 years of age, any ethnicity, struggles with the loss of his best friend and cannot feel the joy of the Christmas season due to past trauma. He goes on an exciting journey the night of Christmas Eve and with the help from the Christmas spirits, realizes the value of community and letting people in while also discovering the true meaning of Christmas.
