Preparing a Successful College Audition
Goodspeed’s Audition Master Class is a one day workshop with Brent Wagner, the Chair of the acclaimed Musical Theatre Department at the University of Michigan. Professor Wagner will guide high school students in all aspects of song performance, including analyzing music and lyrics, acting the song, selecting and preparing the music, and understanding audition techniques. Each student will present two songs and will work individually with Professor Wagner. Participants will gain a valuable set of audition tools and techniques for their future in musical theatre. The program will also include an optional session, “Exploring College Musical Theatre Programs,” for parents and students.
