The story revolves around Honey LaBrea, described as a “Hollywood has-been, possibly a D-lister on her best day”, who opens the play with “the story you’re about to hear is a cautionary tale about a detour across a bridge to stardom.” For Honey, L. Ron Hubbard’s church promises career rejuvenation in a spa-like atmosphere… or does it? The play follows Honey’s adventures as she goes deeper into the church than anyone thought possible and discovers how hard it is to go “clear” when you have a dirty mind.
HONEY LABREA is written by Connecticut-based playwright Jacques Lamarre, whose play, “Raging Skillet,” premiered this past summer at TheaterWorks Hartford
