AVENUE Q Auditions at the Warner Theatre 8/21 & 8/22 by Appointment

TORRINGTON, CT – The Warner Stage Company will hold auditions for a Main Stage Musical Production of AVENUE Q on Monday, August 21st and Tuesday, August 22nd at 7:00pm by appointment. The production is directed by Katherine Ray with Dan Koch as music director and Peggy Terhune as choreographer. It will be presented at Torrington’s historic Warner Theatre in November 2017.

All roles are open to audition. We are seeking five men and three women for this production. All auditioning will be expected to read from the script.

Rehearsals will be held on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings from 7:00pm to 10:00pm (Sunday evening rehearsals may start earlier than 7:00pm) beginning Sunday, December 15, 2013.

The Warner Stage Company will be presenting Andew Lloyd Webber’s family classic, JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT this coming February! I am currently working on putting together the Dream Choir for the production.

NEXT TO NORMAL Opens Friday, September 14 at the Warner’s Nancy Marine Studio Theatre Torrington, CT –The Warner Stage Company will begin the 2012-2013 Season on Friday, September 14 in the Warner’s Nancy Marine Studio Theatre with the 2010 Pulitzer Prize winning, NEXT TO NORMAL.

Winner of three Tony Awards and a 2010 Pulitzer Prize, rock musical NEXT TO NORMAL, explores how one suburban household copes with crisis and mental illness. Its story concerns a mother, Diana Goodman (played by Dawn Brown) who struggles with worsening bipolar disorder and the effect that her illness has on her family.

This contemporary musical is an emotional powerhouse that addresses such issues as grieving a loss, ethics in modern psychiatry, and suburban life. With provocative lyrics and a thrilling score, NEXT TO NORMAL shows how far two parents will go to keep themselves sane and their family’s world intact.

The Warner Stage Company production stars Dawn Brown, Thomas Doleger, Tom Denihan, Theresa Murphy, Alec Varcas and Rob Girardin and is directed by Isabel Carrington with musical director David Irvine.
