The Madbarn Improv Club (MIC), now open to ages 11 -15 and directed by Lara Morton, meets weekly on Fridays from 4:30-6:30, with a pizza party and performance opportunities once per month on Fridays from 7-10 p.m. at the Madbarn Coffeehouse Open Mike.

New Britain Youth Theater has announced classes and auditions for its fifth season. Children and teens ages five an up can study acting, improv, or musical theater on Saturday mornings at the new NBYT location at the New Britain-Berlin YMCA. Children ages five through fourteen can audition for either Rumpelstiltskin or A Charlie Brown Christmas and Frosty the Snowman. Teen auditions for a musical, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, will be held later in the fall.
