Fairfield Center Stage, a new community theater group, will produce the fifth annual “Playathon”, a presentation of new 10-minute plays to be written, cast, rehearsed and performed in the course of a 26-hour timespan. Danbury, Conn. — Musicals at Richter (MAR), celebrating 33 seasons as the longest-running outdoor theater in Connecticut, continues its 2017 offerings with “Seussical,” the effervescent musical featuring the beloved characters and stories of Dr. Seuss, which plays July 28 – August 12. Lot’s Wife is a “midrash” based on the story of Lot and the destruction of Sodom. The play clings to the points of the biblical narrative but “connect the dots” in a different way, giving it a contemporary relevance.
