Flying cows, killer rabbits, taunting Frenchmen and show-stopping musical numbers are just part of the adventures and dangers awaiting King Arthur and his knights of the very, very, very, round table, as the Castle Craig Players present Monty Python’s SPAMALOT for two weeks only – July 28-August 6 – at their intimate Meriden venue!

Lovingly ripped off from the motion picture, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, SPAMALOT is the fresh Broadway hit and irreverent parody of the Arthurian legend. It was nominated for 14 Tony Awards, winning three, including Best New Musical for 2005. During its initial run, it was seen by more than two million people.

“One of the most challenging things about this show is re-creating some of the most well-known scenes and dialogue in film history, without simply presenting a carbon copy of it,” said director Ian Galligan. “For the diehard Monty Python fans, all the iconic moments you love remain – and for those who have never seen the film, you’re in for an evening of absurd hilarity!”

Leading the quest is King Arthur (Len Fredericks) with his trusty servant Patsy (Griffin Kulp). Playing his gallant knights – and a broad assortment of other characters – are Tullio Milani as the dashingly handsome Sir Galahad, Josh Karam as the not-quite-so-brave Sir Robin, Wesley Tack as the homicidally brave Sir Lancelot, Arthur Canova as the strangely flatulent Sir Bedevere, and Johanna Regan as The Lady of the Lake.

Rounding out the cast are Jason Parry, Ryan Pipke, Nick Ciasullo, Chelsea Dacey, Oliver Kochol, Kathy Wade, Zach Fontanez, Kendra Kochol and Lisa DeAngelis. The creative team includes music direction by Mark Ceppetelli, choreography by Tessa Grunwald, lighting design by Dusty Radar and stage management by Meg Ryan.

Monty Python’s SPAMALOT runs for seven performances only – July 28-August 6 (Fridays & Saturdays at 7:30pm, Sundays at 2:00pm, with a special Thursday performance on August 3 at 7:30pm) at The Almira F. Stephan Memorial Playhouse, 59 West Main Street, Meriden, CT. Presented Cabaret Style with table seating, patrons are invited to bring their own dinner, drinks and snacks to enjoy!

Tickets are $25 for Adults and $20 for Seniors (65+). Seating is extremely limited – so patrons are encouraged to buy in advance! Tickets may be purchased online by clicking HERE or over the phone by calling toll-free 1-800-838-3006.
