Collective Consciousness Theatre is seeking Actors for an upcoming production of “Milk Like Sugar” by Kirsten Greenidge, directed by Jenny Nelson, playing at our New Haven studio space at Erector Square, March 30-April 16. Rehearsals begin the week of Feb. 20th and will be held evenings 6-9pm. Auditions will scheduled by appointment only. The roles we are seeking:
Annie (female, 16-25): 16 years old. She wants more out of life, she is sensitive and desperate for connection.
Talisha (female, 16-25): 16 years old. The ringleader of her girl clique, tough and derisive.
Margie (female, 16-25): 16 years old. A follower, gossip and fiercely loyal.
Antwoine (male, 23-30): Early 20’s, A tattoo artist who is introspective and poetic.
Malik (male, 16-25): 16 years old. Determined, caring and sensitive.
Myrna (female, 30-early 40’s): 30-40 years old. Mother of Annie. Works in housekeeping, lacks connection with her daughter, aspires to be a writer.
Keera (female, 16-25): 16 years old. She is the new girl, an outsider who is looking for acceptance.
