The Greater Meriden Concert Chorale presents G.F. Handel’s Messiah in Meriden at St. Rose of Lima Church on Center Street Saturday, December 5th at 7:30 pm.

Preparing a Successful College Audition

Goodspeed’s Audition Master Class is a one day workshop with Brent Wagner, the Chair of the acclaimed Musical Theatre Department at the University of Michigan. Professor Wagner will guide high school students in all aspects of song performance, including analyzing music and lyrics, acting the song, selecting and preparing the music, and understanding audition techniques. The Connecticut Gay Men’s Chorus is seeking male singers age 18 and over for our December 2015 performances of Babes in Boyland. We are producing a new tribal musical… PeaceMaker: The Dreams of Humanity’s Child set in a “tribal context.” We are currently assembling a cast of performers drawing both from the local creative economy as well as nationally and internationally-known artists. In the latter category, internationally-known vocal master, Shawn Phillips, from South Africa has agreed to sing a leading role in our October performances.
