NOplays is seeking two female actors for their upcoming production of Frida Khalo: Heartbreaker as part of the HERSTORY Festival this March. Friday the 9th and Saturday the 10th at the Institute Library in New Haven.

We are seeking actors to play the role of Frida Khalo and Waitress. Both roles are for Latinas, Spanish speaking a plus.

Actors will receive a small stipend.

The deadline for The Milford Young Playwrights Festival is less than two weeks away! If you know an aspiring writer currently attending a Milford Public High School, please pass this message on to them. NOplays would like to give staged readings to a select number of plays submitted. NOplays is now accepting submissions for the Milford Young Playwright’s Contest!

The Festival is open to any student currently attending a Milford High School. Plays must be between 5-10 pages. 3-5 plays submitted will be chosen to receive staged readings during the evening of Friday, January 13th, 2017, time and location TBD. NOplays needs YOUR help to continue supporting  women in theatre and the arts! We’re hosting a fundraiser at Launch Trampoline Park in Hartford, CT, and we need YOU to come jump for us!

NOplays is looking to cast an African American woman in her teens/early twenties to play the part of Tanya, a thirteen year old girl who is visited by the ghost of Hannah Reynolds.

The play is called Mountain Dew, written by J. Lois Diamond; and has a runtime of about 10 minutes.
