*NEWLY ADDED: On-Camera Improv and Casting Table Workshop Sessions!

*WORK ONE-ON-ONE WITH LEGENDARY CONNECTICUT TV METEOROLOGIST BRAD FIELD AS HE GIVES EXPERT ON-CAMERA ADVICE TO OUR STUDENTS!

DESCRIPTION: OPEN TO AGES 13 & UP. This hands-on 3.5-hour workshop is designed for actors with varying levels of experience from beginner on-up, who wish to begin a career in television, film, and/or who would like to transition from stage to screen and need to learn basic on-camera techniques. It is also ideal for those actors who have had some on-camera experience, but need to improve proficiency.

The workshop will cover on-camera training for film, television, and commercials in the following areas:

  • How to be camera ready, hit a mark, read from a teleprompter and CUE CARDS.
  • Script breakdown: Learning the terminology you need to know in film & television scripts
  • How to make the best on-camera audition for online casting submissions using monologues & sides, and working alone or with a scene partner on-camera.
  • NEW! ON-CAMERA IMPROV TECHNIQUE: Learn to think quickly, build confidence, and perfect your timing, while building trust between you and a scene partner. An actor who can improv well, will succeed in all aspects of performing!
  • NEW! THE CASTING TABLE: Students audition in front of the camera and a table of “casting directors” during a mock on-camera audition session! Actors learn how to minimize stress and maximize their use of camera skills needed to book the job.
